This article provides definitions of the technical and other terms and phrases used in this title (zoning regulations) as a means of providing consistency in its interpretation. Where any definition in this article may conflict with definitions in other titles of the municipal code, these definitions shall prevail for the purposes of this code, except for as specified in Section 17.154.006 (Other Definition Sections). If a word is not defined in this chapter or in other provisions of the municipal code, the most common dictionary definition in the American Heritage Dictionary is presumed to be correct.
