As a condition precedent to the city’s issuance of a commercial cannabis operator permit pursuant to this chapter, any person intending to open and operate a commercial cannabis business shall provide evidence satisfactory to the city of the applicant’s legal right to occupy and use the proposed location for the proposed use, together with the approval of a use permit from the city for cannabis activity at the location. In the event the proposed location is owned by or to be leased from another person, the applicant for a permit under this chapter shall provide a signed and notarized statement from the property owner agreeing to the operation of a commercial cannabis business on the property.
