Revenue derived by the city under the provisions of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be used for the operation, acquisition, construction, reconstruction and maintenance of the sanitary sewer system and shall be applied to the retirement of any bonded indebtedness which was incurred to improve the sanitary sewer system.
