It is the policy of the city to maintain a safe and healthful work environment for its employees. The personnel director shall convene a safety committee of appropriate managerial, supervisorial and other employees on a regular basis to evaluate occupational safety problems and discuss and institute appropriate remedies where unsafe working conditions are discovered.
